EDUCATION

Mental Health First Aid >

A mental health first aid program is the process of learning how to personally help someone who has a mental problem or is experiencing a mental crisis.

In this 8-hour course, topics such as depression, anxiety disorders, suicide, panic attacks, traumatic events, psychosis, substance use disorders, and mental health first aid use and evaluation are discussed.

*If you take this course, you will be certified by the National Council for Behavioral Health.

Seminars with Psychiatrists >

We invite a psychiatrist every month to hold seminars on mental disorders.

It is a seminar that helps you take one step closer to treatment through questions and answers, after hearing the accurate symptoms and treatment methods of mental illness from a doctor who specializes in each area.

S.T.E.P.S. (Single-Mothers’ Transitional Employment and Psychological Support)

The brand new S.T.E.P.S (Single-mothers’ Transitional Employment and Psychological Support) from the Esther Ha Foundation is designed to help struggling single moms build a brighter future for themselves and their families.

During this 16-week program, every session will feature 90 minutes of supportive group counseling, and 60 minutes of professional education workshops. Workshop topics include resume building, interview training, and much more!


COUNSELING

Healing Camp >

Healing camp is group counseling led by a mental health professional for 2-days, 3 times a year. 

It is conducted in small groups, and through this program, the psychological problems and unresolved tasks of adults and adolescents are shared with the group members and leads to emotional resolution in the process of talking with each other.

Youth & Young Adult Support Group >

It is a support group for teenagers and young people. It is group counseling to solve the psychological difficulties that young people have.

Counseling expert leaders and co-leaders with overcoming experience work together to provide help.

This support group is held in English and takes place every Saturday at 5:30pm.

Parents’ Support Group >

Parent Support Groups are groups designed to help parents struggling with a variety of family problems.

This support group is held in Korean and takes place every Tuesday at 8pm.

Grief Support Group — H.O.P.E. (Healing Of Painful Emotions) >

This is a self-help group for the bereaved families who have lost their family, and through this group, they try to comfort each other and gain courage. This group takes place every Friday at 8pm.

Anger Management

A 12-week course, 2x a year, designed to help those control and manage their anger.


MEDIA CAMPAIGN

Radio

The Esther Ha Foundation engages with the community by regularly promoting its programs on local broadcaster FM87.7 Voice of New York Radio and promoting and educating listeners on mental health.
